To Whom It May Concern:
This letter serves as an introduction to the Sunshine Center, whom the International Women's Club of Kyiv (IWCK) has supported with grants and volunteers since 2002.
We are proud to be a part of their development and growth and applaud them for their innovative approaches to creating alternatives to institutionalization for vulnerable children.
Sunshine's Independent Living Skills Program, which was supported by IWCK in 2005-2006, takes a unique approach in providing young adults in crisis with the skills necessary to live independently and be self sufficient. This program is an exemplary model that provides realistic options to children who may otherwise live their adult lives on the streets and destitute. We are proud to have been a sponsor of this program and look forward to seeing the long term impacts this program will have in the years to come.
In 2006-2007, IWCK is proud to be a partial sponsor of a model Foster Family/Group Home for children who would otherwise be institutionalized. This program is a unique concept in Ukraine and puts the Sunshine Center at the fore front of creating viable options in sustainable family based care that can be replicated throughout Ukraine.
We are proud to be associated with the Sunshine Center and applaud them for their hard work and success. We highly recommend the Sunshine Center to other partners and donors who are interested in making long term impacts in the lives of Ukraine's most vulnerable children.
