May, 16th 05, IWCK presents Grant Funds to Sunshine
On May 16th 2005 Leonora Butenko, President of International Women's Club Kiev IWCK presented a grant award to the Sunshine Children's Center. Marek & Natalie Wnuk were on hand to accept the grant on behalf of the Center and its children. Sunshine was one of only seven Grant winners out of a field of 45 NGOs from the Kiev region competing for grants in four specific categories.
Sunshine awarded a $13,500 Grant in the women's category for its New Pilot Program titled «Life Skills Training» designed to address and meet the needs of children graduating from internats, orphanages and the Sunshine Center itself. The program will begin September 1st, 2005.
