The summer camps 2008 are finished!

This year's summer camp was a great success. On the first camp we hosted almost 100 children and 40 adult helpers. The children came from children's homes, foster families and the poorest families from our region. Each day they could participate in interesting workshops and games, go swimming, fishing and drive kayaks on the river - shortly said, they just had fun together. In the evenings the Swiss team from Ekklesia had prepared an exciting and fascinating program. We learned all about the wordless book and the life of Peter.
 

Our Sunshine children also had more than enough to do: As we had built our camp on an island, we had to transport 16 tons of camp material over the river - with a catamaran and a small motor boat. Every day, our Sunshine Boys carried over one ton of fresh water to the camp site, from a spring on the mainland. Our appreciation goes to all our Sunshine Kids, the Ekklesia team and our workers. Thank you for your help and commitment!
 

On the second camp we welcomed foster parents with their children. In the mornings the parents participated in training sessions - the topic was raising foster children - while the children had their own program. The afternoons were free for the families, to have time for fun and rest. We were happy to serve the foster families in this way and see them go home pleased and relaxed.
